Capital readiness · Africa

Are you actually ready to raise €5m to €100m?

A good company is not automatically an investable opportunity. DealReady measures, then strengthens, the ability of your numbers, your governance, your transaction and your documentation to withstand due diligence and an Investment Committee.

The DealReady scale places your company on six readiness levels, from a file still to be built to an institutional-grade file.

The problem

Before the investor, there is the transaction.

Many African companies have revenue, growth, a business plan and a valuation in mind. Few are ready for due diligence, the valuation challenge, governance analysis, the opening of a data room and the questions of an Investment Committee.

Investors do not only finance a good company. They assess a transaction. DealReady intervenes precisely before you approach the market.

  • The numbers do not survive due diligence

Inconsistencies between accounts, model and deck; poorly normalised EBITDA; insufficiently documented assumptions.

  • The amount sought is not justified

Amount, structure and use of proceeds are not tied to a defensible financial model.

  • Valuation reflects an expectation, not an analysis

A valuation must be triangulated across methods and tested with scenarios.

  • The company tells its story, not an investment thesis

The investor wants to understand why invest now, the risks, value creation and exit.

  • Governance becomes an obstacle

Ownership, founder dependence, related parties, controls or reporting can stop the transaction.

  • The data room comes too late

Prepared companies know in advance what due diligence will reveal.

Fundraising begins before investor outreach.

The method

Four stages, from measurement to management preparation.

  1. Assess

Measure transaction readiness across six pillars, 50 criteria and ten Critical Gates™, with an evidence architecture that separates what is declared from what is demonstrated.

  2. Prioritise

Identify Investment Blockers, Valuation Enhancers and Transaction Accelerators, then quantify the DealReady Gap™ to the target profile.

  3. Build

Build what is missing: financial review, normalised EBITDA, model, valuation, structure, investment thesis, deck, information memorandum, data room, Q&A.

  4. Prepare

Prepare management for the market: Investment Committee simulation, due-diligence questions, process management.

Frequently asked questions

What executives ask us.

Is the DealReady Score™ a credit rating?

No. It measures transaction readiness: the ability of your numbers, governance, transaction and documentation to withstand due diligence. It measures neither creditworthiness nor the probability of obtaining financing.

Does DealReady find investors?

No. We intervene before investor outreach to make the company and the transaction presentable and defensible. No investor is contacted without your consent, and any placement activity is handled by licensed partners.

Is the QuickScore free and confidential?

Yes. It takes about five minutes, it is free and confidential. Your answers are not shared with any third party. The QuickScore is self-declared: it becomes a verified score only after documentary review by our analysts.

What is the difference between QuickScore and Verified Assessment?

The QuickScore relies on your answers. The Verified DealReady Assessment™ tests 50 criteria against your documents, assigns an Evidence Confidence Index™, tests the ten Critical Gates™ and produces a prioritised roadmap. Only an analyst can grant verified status.

Do you work with companies smaller or larger than €5m–€100m?

The commercial core is the €5m–€100m transaction, but the methodology applies to companies of any size, with a target level proportionate to their stage: Emerging, Growth or Institutional.
